Recent apple house developments? Hello, whoever still lurks here. I wanted to relay that the apple house now has a new leader. His name is Daniel. (This may be a dubious translation of the real name into English letter-forms, but that is effectively his name.) The apple house also has a new name. The two words have been separated from each other by a space. This name change is parallel to an apparent structural overhaul of the apple house prompted by Daniel. This overhaul has been dubbed "deconcentration" by the apple house as it entails the bringing-down of power from higher spacial levels to lower spacial levels. As such, it is a bottom-up approach rather than a top-down approach, a distribution of smaller power-centers across a large scale. And so along with this splitting of power into smaller components, the name of the inter-universal corporation itself has been split into two smaller units. Ha ha ha, very clever. See, the apple house owns many universes and small universes which they call universoids. Apparently, in the past, the corporation had held all of its servers and data storage in the core of one tiny universoid which would hobble and wobble* within bounds of the house where apple house employees lived so that they could receive and transmit data from the servers without travelling a far distance. Everything was perfect in this configuration until the Initial Perturbation happened. An object which no apple house employee anticipated, hypothesized by them to be a comet from another dimension, collided head-on with the server universoid. As a result of this, two chunks of the universoid were detached, flew a bit-ways off from their original location, and began hobbling and wobbling within bounds of the original universoid. Of these two detached fragments, one was large and the other was small. Fortunately for the apple house employees, they had designed their servers so resiliently that almost no data on the servers was lost. However, the detached fragments now had to be accessed to receive this data, which was slightly more difficult than accessing the original universiod. Furthermore, the small detached fragment was very difficult for apple house employees to see with the naked eye. They either had to squint at just the right place at the right time or use a telescope to see it. For this reason, many apple house employees began to forget that the small fragment, along with its data, existed at all. A couple of generations after the Initial Perturbation, only a select few employees were aware that this fragment existed, and they mostly had very long beards and some of them had wizard hats. Due to the secrecy surrounding this fragment, many employees positively rejected the idea of its existence. In later generations, the small fragment came to be viewed as an obscure, possibly hackneyed legend. A few more generations passed in this configuration before the Second Perturbation occurred. A self-duplicating cellular disease, hypothesized by the employees to have been created by someone called "the dark master" in another dimension, struck the main universoid. This resulted in apple house data becoming corrupted and infected at a rapid rate, faster than it could be repaired. The employees began to panic and sent out military forces to amputate the infected areas and vanquish the disease. Allegedly, many of these military forces were stocked with servers and data similar to that contained within the main universoid so that the disease would leave the domain of the universoid itself in favor of infecting them. Hence, many of these military forces, who were told that they were fighting the disease, may have been tricked into becoming conduits for the disease, and may have died as a result. After much tribulation, the disease was culled, though there was much loss of data all around. Certain information centers farther out in other universes owned by the apple house, which were linked through being pointed to by the lost data, were completely lost and had to be rediscovered and pointed-to again. For this reason a number of exploratory expeditions were sent out by the apple house into the void so that these lost portions of data may have been rediscovered. Unfortunately, most of these expedition groups have never been heard from again. A couple of generations passed before the occurrence of the Third Perturbation. This perturbation did not occur to the universoid, but occurred in the house that the apple house employees lived on. It began when a number of apple house sects began to say that the old data, before the Second Perturbation, was better than the new data that was being recreated and rediscovered. Some of them said that the old data was sacred and could not coexist in the same location as the new data. They said that there had to be a special vault created for the old data and that the new data had to be worked with entirely separately. This dispute resulted in a war among the apple house employees. The war was long and resulted in much collateral damage. In the end, the population of these employees was cut drastically, and the employees who remained finally decided that they did not care how exactly the data was stored. From this moment on the system of data storage has always been very centralized, as the employees, wary of past experiences, kept the data very close to their bosoms. They made sure to keep the apple house a strictly top-down structure, with all of the exterior and faraway data directly outflowing from the data that was close to their bosoms, and always being entirely dependent on and entirely subservient to this data. This tradition of centralization remained for many generations onward. However, this new leader, Daniel, has an agenda he calls crowdsourcing. This involves asking faraway and foreign beings for their input on apple house activities and possibly asking them to store data. The apple house is also expanding into numerous data centers away from the single central universoid, which is meant to be a more "organic" approach. These centers are meant to be placed in arbitrary locations far away from the apple house employees, but all connected through a network of passing information to and from each other. *This is how universoids move. I can't exactly describe it.

So wait does that explain why posts have been more sporadic? Like, I swear some of the big posters around here have just stopped suddenly or that their posts were posted in fragmented ways, almost as if I was waiting for an image to load on a shitty computer.
Lol, maybe it's just me, just ignore me lol.

I do not know what you are referring to; especially without proper evidence but I can tell you that whatever you are talking about most likely has no connection with the apple house's perturbations or what have you. There are many universes and many services or bestanders as one may say and I can not see how the dilemmas of a multi-universal organization has an effect on the habits of various beings that access the forum. I know it doesn't on me, I'm posting right now! :þ

Okay yeah but I swear the Applehouse, or sorry, I mean apple house ran this forum? Like I swear I heard something about Ddawg being created which then created the forum so doesn't Applehouse own Nethood and wouldn't an issue with their servers lead to an issue with posting? This may explain the constant dry spells or something? Am I just looking too far into this?

First off, we need a time frame for when these perturbations happened and an idea of how time is experienced. For all you know this could have happened millenias ago or maybe just right now! The generations could be like 100s of years or mere minutes. We just don't know because different universes behave differently and the beings involved could be perceiving things differently. These sporadic timings you may be experiencing may be unique just to you as everyone else might think it's normal. But eh, who knows, maybe it's better to just ignore these things.
Actually, I got an idea if you're still really concerned. Basically you should get a confederate with a form very similar to yours and use it as a way to mark the differences between your perception and the confederate's and record these differences to confirm your suspicions. It's like using a Sharpie to mark the height of water in a cup of water and then drinking the liquid to see the difference! A rather simple procedure. :þ

Oh alright, that's sounds pretty smart. So uh, how do I get a confederate?

Getting a quality confederate, contrary to belief, is actually really hard and requires supernatural forces to allow it to happen! It's like you can only get them if you're important or something. Well, that's what it feels like sometimes. (Maybe I just feel left out ahahaha)
Sorry for the tangent, anyways, my point is, it will not be easy but I will see if I can contact someone who may be able to help. In the mean time, you should probably search around the forums and see how other people do it and see if you can somehow recreate the phenomenon in an efficient and effective manner. You will know that I have succeeded once you magically see a clone of yourself in your vicinity.
Do not worry if you end up with multiple confederates, most confederates should realize they are below you and allow themselves to be destroyed at a moment's notice. If you can not bring yourself to do that then just give your confederate away or make an auction. Seriously, there are some people who will pay mad spondoolies for confederates! :þ

I wish that I had a purpose in life. I wish that I had a reason for things. Because once you have literally seen everything that is possible to see in this life, and heard everything that is possible to hear, and felt everything that is possible to feel, and smelled and tasted everything that is possible to smell and taste in this life, what else is there left to do? There is not much. Hug people? There is not much left at all. And that's a horrible thing to be aware of.
I used to extract happiness from being a confederate of the apple house. But now they are decentralized and weird with this Daniel guy and I don't know who they are anymore. They are aliens to me. And I am an alien to myself. When I look at myself in the mirror I don't recognize myself anymore. The whole world is alien to me. I am an interloper into this world. I was never supposed to be here. I was not designed to live here. Sometimes I try to extract happiness from other people. But when I interact with people of this world I feel like I was not meant to exist alongside them. I feel like I was meant to exist somewhere completely different but I was accidentally put into this world by someone. And I hate that person who put me into this world. I want to kill them. I want to find them and kill them. I know that I shouldn't be angry and aggressive. And maybe this is weird. But that's what I want to do and I'm not ashamed of wanting to do that. And as soon as I feel these feelings of wanting to kill this person I feel a purpose again. I don't know why. I don't know what causes these things in me. There is someone pushing buttons inside me and I want to figure out who it is. I want to kill them and just become free again and this fills me with lust and truth and purpose.
Oh well. I will probably feel happy eventually. Everything is always up and down for me.

Yeah, it's really an interesting business decision by these guys I have to say. Pretty much everyone who used to like them now dislikes them, and everyone who used to dislike them is now perking their ears up like what is going on. I mean, the thing is, if I had a whole faction of people who vehemently hated me I might even do something similar. Because it might make them start to like me a bit more.
