Humans are slaves to their brains. Cockroaches are slaves to the phlegm streams. The biggest advantage of being a geg is that you are tied to no biological master because gegs are a distributed system, and not a centralized one. Gegs are not slaves to anything but rather have their own distributed free will. It's a fun fact that gegs have 64 chakras distributed throughout their bodies. This falls out of the fact that the nervous system is distributed throughout the geg body, thus not requiring a centralized "brain" organ. This is why a geg can be decapitated and remain living, as did happen to me in my childhood. There are however two main centers of energy in the geg body, which are the shoulder holes. Many ancient gegs believed that a geg's shoulder holes were ger* reservoir of energy. Despite the copious body modifications of postmodern gegs, shoulder holes remain a distinctive feature of the geg anatomy for this reason. A geg without shoulder holes would not be effective or powerful due to lack of this energy, and it is this energy that makes a geg a geg and allows ger path of gighood to bloom.
Alien species that descend to the home planets of species are often mythologized as gods, because the our minds always deify what they don't understand. Legend has it that the human legend of the headless horseman was actually a geg. But which geg was it? And did he activate his 64 chakras? Well... that will remain a secret, lol.
So yeah, I've activated all my 64 chakras. It was a long process because they're all wheels that you have to make spin in the right direction, it's like playing some convoluted puzzle game. But once you can get them all spinning they kinda reinforce each other and it's all free flying from there onwards!
* I am using the pronouns ge/gim/ger for gegs because firstly, gender is an arbitrary system, and secondly, gegs don't actually have a gender. Don't like it? Well I'm sorry I can't appease everybody.
