Notes -Köva should be switched to Vakö because---actually wait never mind. Va kö = group of people. Köva = a designated multiple of people -The word for kneel shouldn't necessarily imply the submissive attitude but for now we can interpret it as being used metaphorically to flavor the sentence. -Vubiva = upper class people (up+relations+person)

Yellow Submarine to Lezhi (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2uTFF_3MaA)
(Be aware, there was a stronger focus on exact rhythm over semantics so there is loss. Regardless, I think the translation retains the original very well with some lines being 1:1.)

Notes: Didn't have a word for "Sergeant". Decided to quickly craft up "Authority Person" to vaguely get at the word "officer". Didn't have a word for "Captain". For now in this context, "Ship boss" will do.

Preparing Rare Chinese Characters For the Lezhi font.
So, what's up with this?:
At some point, I'd like to make a Lezhi font. Writing the characters manually can get tedious at times since I haven't fully memorized them to the point where I could just fluidly write it. Doing in real life isn't too bad but doing it on the computer sucks as of now. I'd also be cool to just throw Latinscript Lezhi text into the font and see it change. The plan is too use fontforge and basically make it detect character sequences and redirect them to rare Chinese characters that no one will typically use. That way, Latinscript and other various script can nicely stand by the Lezhi script. This definitely has it's downsides as some people (although not as much of an issue now) still can't see Chinese characters (dammit D13 just update yo shit) but Chinese is way more likely to show than Egyptian Hieroglyphics or some Yi syllabary. Since I need 139 characters to put over, A logography/big syllabary is pretty much my only option.

I have noticed that "smo" (Lespi word) is sort of useless and contradicting at times so I think I should increase its semantic range in order to make it more useful and reduce some syllables as well as create new words/concepts:
Current draft: smo = prism, prismlike, extrude in two opposite directions, long tube shapes, bars, negative space, on and off states, two state functions, multi state functions, new number,

How to translate Wiki stuff in the Lespi Languages:
Generally, the Lepsi languages have the burden of being purist leading to heavy syllable constructions (except for Leshin).
First off, we need the word website (not in the canonical dictionary, welp.) so I'd first start with webpage. Kichöbidi is the best I came up with (computer+relation+sheet). Then, just tack on kö and boom Kichöbidikö = Website. This word is already long to pronounce unfortunately but we still need to go on.
Wiki can be generally defined as a site where users can edit content so the appropriate Lezhi construction would be
user+edit+website. Therefore we end up with this abomination...
Wowiva Bikö Kichöbidikö
A whole 10 syllables.
So wait Bizz, why not just shorten it to WBK and just pronounce the letters?
Ah, I wish I could do that (and it looks very nice as an abbreviation too.) but there isn't a way to refer to letters in the language. Mainly because I'd rather keep the language independent of the script it's using. I mean, if you said something like "Latinscript Hook" that could directly refer to a J but at that rate you've just made things longer. I'm totally okay with it having a zero pronunciation and you just read it mentally as a symbol. Sounds weird but even Earth Language is totally into that in a sense.
Instead, this should be done:
WO.BI.KI.
The good news is, this is now pronounceable. (Or at least we don't have to use an arbitrary pronunciation system.) The bad news is that it can end up sounding like another word very easily or even sound like a real word. Luckily, it's very rare for ki ever be at the end so yeah it's obviously made up but that's aside from the point. We've completely stripped all of its semantics by doing this.
At this rate, we either A, give in and just loan the word wiki (which means there now must be a third category of words and a discussion as to when something deserves to be loaned because fuck being arbitrary.) or B, just refer to all sites as just "Kichöbidikö" and when you get to the site, it should introduce you to what kind of a site it is.
Actually, let's not fully do A. Here's the thing, I have already allowed the phonetic transliteration of foreign names and considered them a "label" of sorts that is phonetic information tied to semantic information. So, if we treat wiki as a "foreign name" then we can get away with having to define loan word rules in length. Be aware, this means that "Wiki" can mean anything with any semantics being assumed. Although, if you are on a site with the "Label" wiki in it and that you see that multiple times, you can probably assume it's tied to website related stuff. More specifically, a user editing website.
And so for now, "Wiki"+"..." will be used. Btw, Wiki conveniently phonetically transliterates as Wiki in all the Lespi languages.

WANT TO HELP BIZZ MAKE WORDS?:
Okay, so if you want to contribute and help make words for the Lespi languages, you're going to want to go through these steps.
STEP 1: Go through the uploaded dictionary first and use search. This will prevent you from making up words for existing things. Regardless of what I just said, you could always still offer alternatives or synonyms which will make the selection richer or maybe even shorten words. Cool.
STEP 2: Alright, just come up with as many interpretations or alternate ways of expressing the concept as much as you can. I prefer that you use the existing words in the language but don't let that stop you. Use wild and artistic compounding if you want; don't be afraid to get crazy. That's it. Pretty simple.
STEP 3: Okay, so just doing the first two steps are pretty okay on their own but if you want to help me more directly, I'll need to introduce you to some inner processes and principles that I tend to abide by.
STEP 3.1: First off, you need to understand where the Lespi languages originally came from. It's highly inspired by Earth Language. A very unique auxlang made by Yoshiko Mcfarland. My language is not a copy and in fact works very differently grammatically and ideologically from Earth Language. The main thing Earth Language and the Lespi languages have in common is that they both share very similar semantics and word deviations. This is why word making isn't so simple at times because I'm stuck to generally using a similar logic. I stick to this logic because then it makes everything more consistent in terms of what a compounded word should/would mean. I suggest you check it out a bit, especially the dictionary to get a feel of how potential words can be made.
STEP 3.2: So, there is a term I throw around called "Deviational Semantic Range" or "Semantic Range" for short. When I say this, I refer to the fact that a base word when used in derived words can contribute an overall different meaning than what it means in isolation. If none of that makes sense, that's fine. Just understand this example here:
Tro (Lespi word) = truth/true when by itself Sho = friction when by itself
Trosho = drilling, to drill
So where did the "truth" concept go? Well, it didn't go anywhere, we instead used another meaning of the word "tro" that's specifically only used in word derivation. This isn't to say that we can't use the "truth/true" meaning in derives but in this particular instance, we use this instead.
So what's the point in me telling you this? Basically I just want you to be aware that you could potentially propose an idea to extend the semantic range or use it in order to form new words. It's just another cog in this word deviation system to know about. It's definitely something you'll have to learn with experience much like I did. One day I will probably make a more clear post explaining how it all works so if this is still confusing, don't worry about it too much.
STEP 3.3: Base word deviations based off of observed phenomena in nature. Apparently, that is what Earth Language claims. Just observing the actions of the what goes on in the world. Just do that and get at the core of what you are observing into more simple or abstract terms or maybe be more blunt about it. For example, the word for algae is literally wave+plant as it can be observed as a plant which conforms to the waves of the water. The word for bag/sack is just plane+container. Basically imagine taking a flat sheet of material and turning it into a container of some kind. What shape would you naturally make? The word for oxygen is fire+substance because fires then to use up oxygen. It's sort of hard to explain in a nutshell but try to describe things using these sort of weird angles to it. Don't be too scientific or literal. Just feel it.
STEP 3.4: Semantics of individual derived words tend to be a bit stiff and tend to retain their meaning in deviations. That isn't to say that you can get poetic with them or more metaphorical. This language is pretty good at that naturally. It's just that you should see derived words as some kind of function that allows you to get different flavors of that word if you plug in certain things.
Ex.
Mega = shake, shaking
Megomega = tsunami (sea+shaking) Chogomega = earthquake (land+shaking)
STEP 3.5: Use Japanese/Chinese borrowings. One thing I have noticed a lot when looking at the words for various concepts in Earth Language is that many of the words are Japanese biased in terms of Kanji. Besides, Chinese/Japanese borrowings work surprisingly well with the Lespi languages in terms of word reusing.
STEP 3.6: This language really really likes to reuse existing words to form new concepts and things as it's supposed to be minimalist. Regardless of minimalism, it still has just about the richness of a normal language which is the main goal.
STEP 3.7: Regardless of all I said, I still don't want you to get bogged down by all of these so called "rules". Just go with your feelings and I will convert it into the system as best as possible so it's truly Lespi-like.

Baul/Chan vs Bautal/Chatan (I'll be using Lezhi (chan/chatan) for the remainder of this.)
Chan basically means until, up to, and is meant to be continuous sounding without a hard end. Chatan basically means until, by, and has a strong hard end or due date sound to it.
That is all.

The Official Lespi Languages (Lespi/Lezhi/Leshin) Foreign Borrowing System:
Welp, I took some time to think about it and it seems that I now must make a system to allow Lezhi to borrow anything. Lezhi sort of already did this but the rules were unwritten and unofficial. Let's lay down how the process goes.
First off, consider if you should or should not borrow a word from a language that isn't Lespi/Lezhi/Leshin. There is no wrong or right solution as you are free to borrow as much as you want to the point where entire English sentences may be borrowed. Although that's pretty rare and most likely pointless, I'll allow it for reasons I'll explain shortly.
Generally, foreign concepts that really can not be succinctly expressed in Lezhi without things getting too long (too long is personally defined as 6 syllables without any means of slanging but if it's still too long for you then that's totally fine.) and/or can not recapture the specific connotation. In some cases you may even do Lezhi-Foreign Word mixtures.
Dabbing/Twerk/Geisha/Wikipedia/etc. is a pretty good example of words that really can't be easily made in Lezhi. Like, I can get at it but honestly it's best that you just borrow it because the word would either be too big or too specific in connotation. Besides, every other language most likely did the same.
You should borrow names and proper names or various things. I actually have translated many common English names into Lezhi but you really shouldn't translate the name word for word. If the average English speaker doesn't realize that Peter really just means "stone". I don't think you should translate Peter as Kocho (Lezhi translation) because it changes the perception of the name or any name specific phenomenon.
When borrowing any word from any language, you first need to understand how to properly transliterate the words phonetically according to which Lespi Language you choose. For example, The name Peter when written in Latinscript will look different due to transliteration. Here's the differences between the languages.
Lespi: Pityr Lezhi: Piter Leshin: Piter
So you will have to look up how to transliterate for each language.
When borrowing, at that point, whatever you borrowed is considered a label or some kind of pronoun that can mean anything that you desire. Generally you should have that attitude when approaching any of these labels but the idea is that you are to understand what that label means via context and/or the explanation of the Lespi/Lezhi/Leshin speaker. This is pretty self explanatory but I think it's important to state just to be clear. I do not want any limiting boundaries.
This also means that country names are be borrowed. I personally prefer that you use the native or associated langugae of the country that uses it but hey, it's your choice. You could borrow from English and say [French] or from French and say [Franse]. Who knows, maybe those variations will end up having their own connotations that can sort of mean the same thing at times or different depending on the context of how it was used.
The last important rule is that only labels can be made and used as nouns/adjectives. Not verbs. So in order to say something like "To Google" you would have to word for word say "to do Google to", "to search/find with Google", "to use Google", etc. Believe me, there will always be a verb for what you need. If you can't think of one. Just use "fav/fas" meaning "to do" in Lespi/Lezhi or Leshin.
